Now well-established as an early season warm up for longer distance races 2012 will see this middle distance race retain its position at the beginning of May . The Marshman (very accurate half-iron distance )will be joined by the Mini-Marshman which is a fast and flat course . The 92k bike course will stay the same , the 21k run wil also keep to the quiet lanes north of Lydd as they proved to be so popular for the 2011 race . whilst the 1900m swim will be an “M” shape in the lake . All the usual facilities will be in place, the carpeted lakeside transistion, the luxury toilet blocks, free camping in the HQ field, optional Saturday registration, chip timing and comprehensive prize list which currently totals to just over £1,000 .
Timetable
Firday 4th May – HQ field will open for delivery of toilet blocks and marquees , camping will be available from 2pm onwards .
Saturday 5th May – registration opens for collection of race no’s and timing chips from 10am-4pm – shop is open on site for those last minute(forgotten?) bits , Kent Cycles will be there to check over your bike (mechanical problems ) .Catering will be open .
Sunday 6th May
Registration opens from 5am as does transistion . Transistion will close at 6.45 am . 1st wave of the 1900 swim will start at 7.00am , followed by the 2nd wave at 7.05 and the 3rd at 7.10 . The first Mini-marshman swim wave will be at 8.00am and the second at 8.10am
