I have been asked many times in the last year or so if it was possible to hold a triathlon in the Medway area , it wasnt an easy task given the density of the area with traffic flows , etc , but i have managed to find a location and HQ which will fit the bill . The swim and HQ will be at the Hundred of Hoo Leisure Centre in Main Road , Hoo , just outside Rochester . The pool will be split into 8 lanes and the "zig-zag" style swim will mean that you swim up and down each lane until 16 lengths have been completed . Outside the fully-carpeted car park will serve as transistion and the 20k bike course will navigate down the A228 and out to Cliffe before returning to Hoo . The 5k run will be from the transistion out to Hoo village , Bell Lane and Ratcliffe highway completing the circuit . With this event just one week before The London Triathlon its just the right distance for a warm - up !
